| [back to contents] Hello Everyone I have been very busy these past months with a few new projects. Firstly I am so glad that my record company is going to re-issue the album “A Trip Through Ireland”, renamed “Irelands Where I Call Home” on C.D. I recorded this in “Greenfield’s Studio’s in Headford, Co. Galway back in the 1980’s and it got lost somehow somewhere but great news I found it and I am delighted. People request these songs a lot and I love them. Tracks on the album include “A Trip Through Ireland“, “Village Of Dromore”, a beautiful Donegal song “Memories Of Life In Donegal” it evens mentions my home village Kincasslagh, and the title track “Irelands Where I Call Home”, “The Emigrant” I love this song and people always ask me about it. “All I Have For You Mum” is a lovely mother song and we all know how special they are, “I’ll Meet You In Church” is a lovely gospel song. “I Still Miss Someone” and “Someday You’ll Call My Name” have always been favourites of mine. “A New Tomorrow”, “The Tower Of Sweet Rathlee”, will Your Lawyer Talk To God”, “Roses In The Snow”, and “Lonely Nights In London” are also lovely songs. Now getting to my new album "Stories In Song" which I have just finished recording with Clive Culbertson in Derry, Clive is my musical director and has produced my last few albums, he is a genius. Clive will be with me when I do my few concerts which will be in August. I spent months listening to songs sent to me by different people and it was hard to choose from my list, I always like to pick my own and it has worked for me up to now so why change it. My dear friend Liz Anderson wrote five songs for my album, I do hope I have done them justice, Liz is a great writer and has written many hit songs, she is also a wonderful human being and I love her and Casey dearly. I have re-recorded five songs which were on an earlier album, so there are a few familiar tracks. There are a few surprises so I hope you like them. I am so excited about the album and can’t wait for it to be released mid August. Here’s a first for me I have recorded a Christmas Song written by Liz Anderson, it is simply lovely and will appeal to all ages. CONCERT DATES 6th AUGUST. I.N.E.C, Killarney, Co. Kerry 7TH AUGUST. West County Hotel, Ennis, Co. Clare 14th AUGUST. T.F. Theatre, Castlebar, Co. Mayo 21st AUGUST. Nesbitt Arms Hotel, Ardara, Co. Donegal 30th AUGUST.
